In the late 1960s, Rusty Young was asked to play steel guitar on the Buffalo Springfield album Last Time Around with Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Jim Messina, Richie Furay, Dewey Martin, and Bruce Palmer. While working on the Springfield recording, Rusty, Jimmy, and Richie decided to form a new band they named Poco. Rusty went on to write and sing Poco classics such as "Crazy Love,” “Rose of Cimarron,” and “Call it Love.” The Grammy-nominated Steel Guitar Hall of Fame inductee, songwriter, and recording artist will perform a solo concert at Leach Theatre on Friday, May 4, 2018, featuring a retrospective of his 50-year music career through songs, stories, and photos.
